Campus Beautification and Facility Deep Clean

The Support
Services Team has embarked on an exciting new
initiative to spruce up the Campus grounds and
to deep clean high traffic areas within our key
buildings.
The Grounds team has renovated approximately one
half of the over 400 planting beds on our three
campuses. New edging, winter plants and mulch
make our planting beds look great and prepare
them for this spring’s new colors.
The Grounds team has also hired a contractor to
haul away all of the debris that had accumulated
on our campuses. Over five dumpsters have been
filled with old/broken gates, abandoned
construction materials, and paper and plastic
that was caught in our planning beds and trees,
old traffic cones, etc.
Our Environmental Service Team has embarked upon
a “Deep Clean” initiative in our most heavily
trafficked building. We are focusing on the
public restrooms and main corridors, and have
supplemented our existing EVS team with several
contractors that specialize in deep cleaning and
tile renovation.
The initial facilities that are being deep
cleaned over the next 30 days are: Blackburn,
Burr Gymnasium, College of Medicine and
Administration.
More plans for improvement will be announced
over the next 30 to 45 days. Stay tuned and
thanks for helping us better serve our students,
faculty and alumni.
