HUH 2nd Annual Summer Tune-Up on June 9

In partnership with WHUR 96.3FM, Howard University Hospital (HUH) will host the 2nd Annual Summer Tune-Up health fair on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the Front Plaza of HUH. The event will include free health screenings; health and nutrition information; exercise demos, including dance, yoga, and aerobics; live entertainment and other activities for the entire family.

The Living Will Workshop

HUH will host the free "The Living Will Workshop" for the District's seniors, on June 6 and June 13, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Howard University Hospital Cancer Center, Room 209 (5th and V Street entrance). The event is sponsored by HUH and Legal Counsel for the Elderly, AARP.

The workshop will help participants guarantee that their financial and health care wishes are followed if they are disabled or unable to speak. Participants will receive two official legal documents: the power of attorney for financial management and the health care advanced directive, which includes the power of attorney for health care and a living will.
